Verdict

VESPERAL DREAM's future still lies over fences, despite a poor run at Sandown last time, but this looks to be a good opportunity for him to open his account under Rules. His second to Garde Le Victoire at Taunton last month is form that is head and shoulders anything his rivals have achieved. The dark horse is useful winning chaser Lexicon Lad but it's more than a year since Tom George's charge was last seen on the racecourse.
