Verdict

This is an above-average contest for the track and has attracted a decent line-up. Paul Nicholls runs the lightly-raced Vide Cave while David Pipe saddles the versatile DAN BREEN and Decoy. The latter is very well treated on his old form but Tom Scudamore's mount has the better recent efforts to his name so gets the vote. Party Palace did very well last summer and beat Breaking Bits on this course in July. She's 4lb better off with the latter today but has been struggling on the Flat lately and just as interesting are recent Chepstow winner Fear Glic and Earls Quarter, who has been running well in bumpers and on the level.
