In depth

Verdict

Charliesmedarlin comes here in good form and can land an interesting event, his main rivals possibly being Thunderpoint and Noble Comic. Tudor King is only two pounds higher in the ratings than for his Plumpton win, so can't be ruled out but course and distance winner Athnowen ran a very good race here on April 21, a repetition of which gives him a shout. Dunmanus Boy has failed to progress from his April win at Exeter. This leaves Thunder Point, now seven pounds higher than for his Hereford win but his rider takes off a useful five and Noble Comic. A repeat of the last-named's October Wincanton win gives the course and distance winner a shout, but Charliesmedarlin can be the punters' darling on the night.
