      Verdict

ZAKATAL, taken out of a similar contest at Worcester recently on account of the ground, should find conditions much more to his liking here and can finally open his account after a number of near-misses. There's no doubt he has a mind of his own, but Philip Hobbs' French import did little wrong when second in a handicap on the Flat at Newbury on his latest start in April and may be starting to mellow a little. Ambrose Hill Lad may do better now his attention is switched to hurdles but the danger on form is On The Bridge, who won a point-to-point in Ireland and found only one too good on his hurdles bow at Worcester earlier this month.
