It’s less than a year since QUITE BY CHANCE was placing off a mark of 146 over fences. He hasn’t run over hurdles since 2014 but would go close in this if transferring a fraction of ability back to the smaller obstacles. No Hiding Place runs here rather than at Uttoxeter on Sunday and is Nicky Henderson’s only entry at today’s meeting. He won a handicap at Towcester in the spring and didn’t take to fences last month. Push The Tempo has won a point-to-point, a bumper and a maiden hurdle in his last three starts but the form of July’s course and distance success looks questionable. Winning chaser Super Scorpion can’t be ignored and makes more appeal than Diligent and the others.
