Verdict

Bengal Bullet showed improved form when successful at Exeter last week but a 7lb penalty for that success leaves him with a career high mark to overcome and a better bet may be Tarkesar, who gets the vote ahead of Euro Import. The last mentioned has shown gradual improvement this term, running his best race when chasing home Kings Rock at Market Rasen last time. A reproduction of that effort would see him go close. Henry Daly's Sea Eagle is less exposed than most of these after just five starts and could be of interest on his debut in a handicap, while Trigger Guard has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for his success at Fontwell in February. Marigolds Way remains a maiden after 12 starts and a safer option looks to be Paul Blockley's Tarkesar, who looks to be going the right way.
