A chance is taken with Monsieur Reynard, who gets the nod over Mission Impossible and Speedy Senorita in a very tricky handicap. Money for previous course and distance winner Leading Edge would also be noteworthy, as she gets on well with Chris Catlin and is very much respected despite starting the campaign on a stiff looking mark. Speedy Senorita has claims on the best of her form and she is capable of paying her way. She made a bright start to her juvenile campaign and, as her yard is in good form, a big run can be expected. Mission Impossible represents a stable that always has to be given the utmost respect at this time of year and, having won a maiden on the All Weather just before Christmas, the son of Kyllachy knows what it takes to force his head in front. However, Monsieur Reynard fared very well against a slightly stronger calibre of opponent at Wolverhampton 11 days ago and, with that outing sure to have topped up his fitness, the Brian Meehan-trained gelding has the cutting edge here.
