    Verdict

Balmusette notched a first career success on the Flat last time at the age of seven and remains one to consider off a 3lb higher mark. This does look a tougher race though and FROSTY THE SNOWMAN could prove the one to beat for the in-form Ruth Carr team. He remains on a decent mark, stays the trip well and achieved his most recent success on soft ground at Musselburgh in April. He has been far from disgraced the last twice on far quicker ground and should appreciate conditions. Course and distance winner Hurry Home Poppa always seems to run well here and cannot be discounted despite topweight whilst Arthurs Secret is also respected along with King Of Paradise who tries this trip for the first time.
