Verdict

Simply Shining has claims in this finale if forgiven a slightly below-par effort at Doncaster last time, though he still finished ahead of No Dominion. Ted's Brother still looks too high in the weights but the handicapper has given a real chance to TEA IN TRANSVAAL. He's well treated on last year's form and it might be worth taking the risk that the blinkers have the desired effect. Not Rigg is a course and distance winner and only 3lb higher than when narrowly beaten at Bath so also goes on the short-list but Sherston has had plenty of chances.
