Mark Johnston's two-year-olds normally improve from their first start to their second so it would come as no surprise to see Alanbrooken step up on the form shown on his first outing at Sandown but he is far from certain to handle the testing conditions and it may be worth taking a chance with the newcomer HORSLEY WARRIOR, who gets the vote over another debutant Advisor. The last mentioned is a son of Anabaa trained by Michael Bell, who should handle the cut in the ground and he has to be respected with Jamie Spencer booked for the ride. Peter Chapple-Hyam's son of Danehill Dancer, Thousand Miles, may do better racing on a soft surface, while Paquerettza has yet to confirm that he really handles ground this soft.
