Ace Master gained plenty of fans this winter with his forcing tactics and he gets the chance to show his rivals a clean pair of hooves off a significantly lower turf mark. The drop back to six furlongs might just be against him so we'll look elsewhere and THORPE BAY seems to represent better value. Admittedly his record of 0-8 on the turf is offputting, but he ran his best race to date over five furlongs at Nottingham last month, and connections have gone to the trouble of booking leading apprentice, Charles Bishop. Former Dermot Weld inmate, Floralys, has shown little for current connections and it is hoped that a hood can work the oracle. Divertimenti and Dancing Maite are admirable old campaigners that are still more than capable of winning in their turn, while Prigsnov Dancer cannot be totally dismissed if he runs up to the level of his most recent form at Wolverhampton.
