        Verdict

        Not too much to go on here but Tobermory is selected ahead of Cape Velvet and Strobe. By The River cost 15,500 guineas, Our Blessing wasn't beaten far on his all-weather debut but the form is not strong; Power Alert's trainer can get them ready first-time up; Strobe cost a few quid and can surely improve on his debut; Style Sunday has shown some promise; Cape Velvet showed promise on her debut and Tobermory is well-bred, related to winners and hails from a good stable. That kind of profile earns her the selection status.
