    Verdict

Uhuru Peak can land the finale at the expense of Royal Indulgence, and Granary Girl, with Le Soleil and Oh Danny Boy seen as the main dangers. In truth this handicap is pretty uninspiring, but hopefully Uhuru Peak can build on his latest success at Carlisle to score again. That win was his third such victory for amateur Serena Brotherton, but the fact that he remains well handicapped compared to last year, plus the way that he drew clear last time, leads us to believe that Dale Gibson can steer him to the winner's enclosure, with little to beat. Royal Indulgence has been pretty consistent but has more to do than when scraping home in an apprentice affair at Newbury the time before last. Granary Girl won a class 6 at Leicester and has course-and-distance form to her credit, while Le Soleil and Oh Danny Boy have done enough in the past to merit a mention, if not lately. A pin would come in handy really, and only a most cautious vote goes the way of Uhuru Peak.
