    Verdict

CHALK HILL BLUE performed well in three starts last season and is a sound betting proposition to land the finale. Graycliffe, having won last time out, is likely to be a popular choice in the betting and is considered as a big threat, while King's Chorister has claims on the best of his form but he needs to conclusively prove himself capable on turf. Mr Prolific is another worth noting in the betting, as Barry Hills' horses are flying just now and support of this son of Haafhd would be noteworthy. However, Chalk Hill Blue appeals as one that will have benefited from being given more time to mature and, from a mark of just 59, he has a good platform to launch from this term.
