Verdict

Normandie Lady is the only course and distance winner on show and has proved a consistent handicapper for Richard Fahey. There is no reason to anticipate anything other than another good effort but MADROOS (NAP) could prove superior. The lightly-raced four-year-old has performed with credit on all four starts in competitive large-field handicaps since joining Michael Easterby from Ireland and could well find this a more straightforward assignment. Trip and ground are fine. See The Master represents the three-year-old brigade and won nicely enough at Chepstow last time but will probably need to improve again. Palmerston is respected and Ehtiraas will enter calculations if all is well with him on this first start since September.
