    Verdict

Rated 80, PERIGEE found one too good when sent off favourite here a fortnight ago. But he was placed in heavy going here as a two-year-old and John Gosden’s colt should make no mistake this time. The rest of the field have yet to look like winning including Proctor, who failed to show any progress at Haydock last time when only a length ahead of Wallangarra. The older Western Way has won over hurdles but finished nearer last at Thirsk on his debut on the Flat.
