Since a third at Navan in December, ENKI FLACKE (NAP) has been beaten quite a long way in maidens at Cork and Punchestown but this looks a much easier assignment and he should stay the extra half-mile. Hogan spread a plate when second to Sundrenched over this trip at Ayr so that effort can probably be upgraded a little. He looks the danger ahead of stablemate Fairly Famous and Bellaney Lord, who is probably the pick of Stuart Crawford’s pair.
Bellaney Lord (IRE) 6-4fav (12-0) Rear of mid-division, some headway on inner 6f out, pushed along and dropped towards rear under 4f out, soon weakened and eased, completely tailed off, 11th of 12, dist behind Sir Argus (12-0) at Thurles 2m Yielding in Mar.
Enki Flacke (FR) 11-1 (12-0) Chased leaders, moderate 3rd halfway, slight mistake 3 out and no impression, no threat from next, kept on one pace, 5th of 20, 33 1/4l behind Kilcruit (12-0) at Punchestown 2m mdn Yielding in Jan.
