In depth

Verdict

IMPULSIVE AMERICAN has enjoyed an excellent 2016, winning five races, four of which have come under NH Rules. Sent over fences at an early stage of his career, he looked made for the job when disposing of Monsieur Gibraltar very comfortably at Market Rasen on his chasing debut, He's proven on soft ground and can take care of Hostile Fire in receipt of 9lb. Gordon Elliott's charge arrives in good heart from a heavy ground success on the level and should progress from a satisfactory chasing debut here last month but he'll do very well to concede the weight if both complete.
