In depth

Verdict

Russian Regent is the natural starting point having landed his last three successes here and also has a heavy ground success in a hunter chase on his CV dating back to 2013. He's sure to go well but DR MOLONEY, a fellow Irish challenger, is better off at the weights now than when the pair clashed in late June and may reverse placings despite only fielding a career record of 1-23 as he's proved generally very solid over the larger obstacles. Tangolan is respected though all five career victories have been delivered on quicker conditions but Presented, a close fourth at Cartmel latest, and Lowanbehold, a former pointer who's made an effective transition to life under Rules, are both of interest with the latter seen as the prime threat.
