In depth

Verdict

PITON PETE had been showing plenty of promise before a fine effort behind Equus Secretus at Huntingdon, where he could have finished closer but for being slightly impeded. The winner has since completed a double so Oliver Sherwood's charge should get off the mark. Puppet Warrior did well in bumpers considering he's bred to be a stayer and can go well on his hurdling debut but Hatchet Jack probably needs further. Must Havea Flutter arrives from the point-to-point field and is another likely to do better over further in time but Battle Of Ideas found 2m1f too short at Exeter last time.
