    Verdict

Knocknanuss has been off the track since winning a bumper in 2015 and makes his hurdling debut. JACKBLACK is preferred as he showed a big improvement on his second start over hurdles when finishing a close-up third at Fontwell. Further progress looks on the cards and he gets the nod ahead of Sixties Idol, who also posted a better effort at Kempton recently though never looked like catching the winner. Rasasee is another likely improver and is rated much higher on the Flat than hurdling newcomer Mamoo.
