      Verdict

MEGASUE looks capable of ending a frustrating run of placed efforts and winning this mares only contest, while Cloudy Spirit and Yonder are others with claims. The selection won her first two bumpers, but has failed to add another success to her CV. Even so, she has finished just once out of the frame and her last four starts have seen her produce some very good efforts in the context of this race. Cut in the ground is ideal for her and she can come back to winning form. Cloudy Spirit will relish these conditions and had shown decent form in bumpers without winning and fell too early to tell how she would have fared on her hurdling introduction. She has been given a bit of time off since then and if confidence is restored she could have a big say. Appointment has not been seen since falling on her own hurdling debut 16 months ago and has fitness and fluency to prove, while Yonder is more than capable of improving on her first start and is likely to be capable of involvement this time around. Megasue is the one for us today.
