      Verdict

      Zumurud changed stables after landing a novices' event over 6f at Leicester in October. That was on good to soft ground but he showed very good speed for a long way over that trip at Hamilton last time. Snaffled has only won on Tapeta while Palmer is 0-14 though has been placed in half of those races. Danehill Desert had been a beaten favourite twice at this level before finishing last of six in a better race at Doncaster so the vote goes to LIFE FOR RENT, who is now 1lb lower than his only victory at Ripon in September on this sort of ground.
