In depth

Verdict

A decent but competitive handicap and after an easy success last time INVISIBLE MAN should appear as the winner here ahead of Mohtasheem and Canwinn. After travelling nicely the selection was a cosy winner when five pounds better off last time in similar company. We suggest had he carried the extra five pounds he has here during that race he still would have won and the lack of an obviously well treated challenger we're happy to give him the vote to follow up. Mohtasheem has disappointed in two starts in these ranks leading to a falling mark. With a top apprentice taking a further five from his load it would be dangerous to ignore him this time. Canwinn hasn't exactly lived up to his name since landing a novice race at this time last year but as a result his rating is looking more realistic now and his run just behind a subsequent winner last time was encouraging. Rafiqa has improved in two starts as a three-year-old but she has been put up six pounds despite a defeat last time so with most in his favour, Invisible Man should be the winner.
