In depth

Verdict

Mark Johnston has strong claims in this open nursery as he runs both Fongs Gazelle and Dee Cee Elle, we will side with the first named, Centenary may do best of the others. The selection has been on the go all season but does hold her form well. She was just touched off by today's rival Fiumicino over course and distance last time and with the weight turnaround and the softer going she should reverse form with that rival. Stable companion Dee Cee Elle was well behind that day but was given a lot to do, if settled nearer the pace today she could get involved in the finish. Centenary landed a Newcastle maiden in good style last time and did go close in a nursery back in August. He may be a little high in the weights now but should still be thereabouts. The pick of the others could be Foxxy, but Fongs Gazelle is overdue a victory and today could be the day.
