LUDORUM won a Ripon maiden on fast ground over this trip and doesn't look harshly treated on his handicap debut so gets the vote to continue his progress. Save The Bees seems better than ever having gained his 13th victory at Beverley last month and was narrowly beaten in a better race than this at York last time, though he's now on his highest-ever mark on his 97th start. Azzir has been struggling for a victory since scoring here last July though is now 1lb lower. Both of Alfie Richardson's victories have been on very fast ground and though Mister Belvedere will enjoy the conditions he's probably better over further, a remark that also applies to Peterhouse.
