Verdict

Penny Pot Lane arrives with a penalty for scoring at Redcar on soft ground on Monday and, providing the going doesn't dry out, has to be considered for a quick double. MY GIRL MAISIE has struck form and though her recent victory at Musselburgh came on fast going she's won on soft in the past so today's conditions should be ideal. She's 6lb higher but looks to have every chance of going in again. Ypres won at Carlisle in July and has been running consistently since so is another to consider but Ki Ki wasn't at her best at Carlisle after her victory at Thirsk. Cliff pops up every now and then and it could easily be his turn today as he's only 2lb higher than his last victory while Prazeres didn't run badly at Epsom after scoring over 7f at Catterick.
