      Verdict

The recent rains will help Ciacole here, and Ron Thompson's filly looks capable of seeing off here rivals, with Let It Be and Scorchio others to consider. The selection runs from the same mark as when landing a Beverley seller in heavy ground on her penultimate start, before flopping badly there on fast ground last time. That run was too bad to be true and we should concentrate on the fact that she loves some cut and stays this trip well enough, as evidenced by a course and distance third earlier in the campaign, and provided her confidence has not been dented from last time out then she looks the one to be on. Let It Be is another who likes to get her toe in and if she can reproduce the sort of effort that saw her finish second to Fortunes Favourite at Ripon in April then she can make the frame, though she still has to prove that she gets this far. The same applies to Scorchio, who has also been plying his trade in some poor company and looking most at home over 10 furlongs. Faster ground would probably help him too, so he is overlooked as a winner, but may still be up to a minor place in a poor race. For the winner though, we return to Ciacole.
