    Verdict

This looks a good opportunity for Cloud Dancer to follow up her recent York success, with Favour, Baron Rhodes and Complication others to consider. The selection has gone up 5lb for that six furlong success on the Knavesmire when she beat Blackheath by a length a fortnight ago. However, she had been in decent heart of slightly higher before that and she has won off this mark of 75 over a mile at Newmarket a couple of seasons ago. This stiff six will clearly suit and if the rain has not got into the ground too much then with the yard in good form she has every chance of winning again. Favour receives a useful 3lb and drops back to her best trip here, so has to be respected. Although she has never won off this mark she has been running consistently well if we forget her latest effort over 7f and as she seems to go on any ground she must be in with a chance of being involved at the business end. Baron Rhodes is another consistent sort who has paid the price for some good placed efforts by going up in the weights. A Sandown winner earlier in the month, she was weighed down by her penalty last time and may find the same happens again, especially as this is a step up in trip and very much uncharted territory for her. Of the others, Complication makes some appeal given that she races off a mark 6lb lower than her only career win. She also likes fast ground and this is her trip, so there are positives and a reproduction of her penultimate start at Salisbury would give her frame claims, but for the winner we think Cloud Dancer has the right credentials to follow up her York win.
