A number of unexposed types on view such as King's Protector, Mr Mischief and Condoleeza but the vote goes to Langford. The Mark Tompkins-trained gelding appeared to appreciate the step up to this trip when narrowly denied on his seasonal return at Yarmouth last week. The son of Compton Place holds a fitness advantage over several of his rivals and looks fairly treated off his current mark. John Dunlop's Condoleeza showed useful form to be placed on all three juvenile maiden starts and is bred to shine over middle distances so has to be feared. King's Protector boasts some smart juvenile form and could be well treated for his handicap debut while Mr Mischief and Down Memory Lane have progressed well on the all-weather and are others to consider in an open event.
