In depth

Verdict

Fiery Oscar has won eight races but has jumped poorly on his last two starts and was a long way behind Lord Alfie at Wexford in April after several bad mistakes. The winner couldn't cope with a 4lb rise at Tramore and has been raised the same amount for this. ACES AND KINGS has hit the form of his life and followed an easy victory in a hunter chase at Tramore with an all-the-way success in a Kilbeggan handicap. He was clear when falling a long way out on a return visit and is taken to gain compensation. Westhaven's third behind Forever Gold at Roscommon was his first placed effort in 10 starts over fences but he's now on such a lowly mark that he could get into the frame again. Raise Hell has only shown moderate form over fences so far though he hasn't had much experience and is a likely improver while Ross Na Righ ran well behind Fennis Moll at Killarney and the winner was a bit unfortunate not to follow up at Tramore on Friday.
