Verdict

RUPERT LAMB is rated 26lb lower over hurdles than fences and comes here on a confidence-restoring mission. He'd improved out of all recognition before his latest mishaps so looks handicapped to take this. Pivot Bridge gained a surprise victory over tonight's rival Desertmore Stream at Fairyhouse but has proved that to be no fluke with two fine subsequent runs. However, the runner-up is 17lb better off for three lengths and should have no problem reversing the form. Mrs Mac Veale completed a hat-trick in the autumn and showed she was not finished yet with a cracking effort from her new mark at Ballinrobe last month. Bridgequarter Girl was progressing nicely until stopped in her tracks by a bad mistake here last month and she'll be a threat if the ground dries out.
