In depth

Verdict

A very moderate opener but BALNASLOW looks the one to be on. Willie Mullins' charge landed a point-to-point in October and though narrowly beaten on his debut under Rules in a Fairyhouse bumper he was awarded the race after interference. Davy Russell rides the Gigginstown Stud-owned son of Presenting and the combination can see off a challenge from the Ruby Walsh-ridden Angles Hill, who scrambled home in a point at Dungarven but was beaten a long way on his bumper debut here in February. Follyfoot was a modest winner on the Flat and will be better for her hurdling debut at Limerick on Saturday, though she never got competitive, and the betting may tell us more about the remainder.
