Verdict

The chasing debut of OSCARS WELL has been long awaited. Jessica Harrington's charge won two Grade 1's over hurdles in his novice season and though not quite able to repeat those victories at the highest level last season he was placed three times and only faded from the last in the Champion Hurdle. He's been found a nice opportunity to make a winning start though the useful and versatile Plan A will ensure he gets a test. Gordon Elliott's charge appears to have been around for an age but he's a tough competitor and jumped well when runner-up to Special Tiara on his debut over fences at Ballinrobe last month. Darwins Fox looks a smart prospect having won a Listed contest over hurdles and been placed in a Grade 2. His dam is from a fine family of jumpers in France and Henry De Bromhead does very well with similar types.
