        Verdict

        GINGER JACK won over a mile here in soft ground last month. He's gone close over this longer trip before and is just preferred to Gala Casino Star. It was heavy ground when the latter finished third at Ayr on his latest start while Maven also handles the going though he looks high enough in the weights at present. Layline won at Yarmouth a fortnight ago but this is much tougher and the likes of Las Verglas Star and Licence To Till could prove bigger dangers as they take a drop in class.
