Long Distance comes a long way for his third start and James Fanshawe's charge gets the nomination ahead of Celtic Strand and Bishopbriggs. A runner-up on his most recent outing, this 50,000 euros purchase seemed to improve markedly from his first to second runs when ridden more prominently. Assuming those tactics are resumed then he should run well. Ibrox, Harrison's Star and Bulas Boy all need to improve markedly on their debut runs, whilst Bishopbriggs shaped with distinctly more promise and should be suited by the step up in trip. Celtic Strand steps up a furlong in trip and should go well assuming the ground doesn't deteriorate, whilst the newcomers don't look any great shakes so unless the market speaks in their favour they can be passed over.
