      Verdict

Dotesy went close over 5f at Ripon last week and Piazon made his debut over the minimum trip in better company at Newmarket earlier this month. By The Light is another who may figure stepping up a furlong after a modest effort at Newcastle but it would be no surprise if the newcomer TWENTYFOURSEVEN proved good enough. Ed Dunlop's colt is a half-brother to four winners and makes more appeal than fellow debutantes Irondale Express and Supa U.
