Yet another tricky race for punters here and we'll side with URSUS to repeat his course and distance win from June, while Baybshambles and First Swallow look serious dangers. It was fast ground when the selection won here, but he was good enough to follow up on soft ground over 6f at Newcastle next time. He has been kept going since and ran well in defeat last time, so now he is back on a decent mark he looks capable of going in again. Baybshambles relishes this minimum trip and acts on any ground. He is just 2lb higher than his most recent win and with his pilot's claim he'd have to have a decent chance here. First Swallow flew in at Beverley on soft ground last time, breaking his maiden in a race that was nothing special. His handicap mark reflects that, but he is lightly raced and not beyond improvement, so we give him due respect. Grudge will love the mud here and should act well on the surface, though he is plenty high enough in the weights and is taken on, while Cheshire Rose has trip and ground to her liking and can go very well, though she too may just have a few pounds too many to lump around. Ursus is the suggestion here.
