Verdict

There are a few three-year-olds with decent claims in this. Tim Easterby’s recent Beverley third Scoundrel is possibly the pick of that age group if the headgear works a second time, though he has no form on ground with some give. Dusty’s better efforts of late have come on fast going at Brighton but Hop Maddocks showed promise at Thirsk in the spring and probably needed the run when disappointing at Newcastle earlier this month. Twentysvnthlancers may prove the pick of Paul Midgley’s pair as Gamesome is hard to place while Penny Dreadful didn’t beat much at Thirsk in July and is 5lb higher. CASTERBRIDGE has also had a break but has gone well fresh in the past. He’s back on a winning mark and was placed off higher at Thirsk in June so is handed a token vote.
