Verdict

Liquid Gold was well beaten when second at Beverley on debut, though the winner went close in a decent handicap next time. Anif can only improve on a one-paced fifth at Newbury in April so is worth considering. Bob Maxwell was second at Newcastle last month but never looked like catching the winner while Fiendish is already looking exposed. HIGHLAND CRADLE’s run when favourite at Windsor was too bad to be true. He’d been beaten less than a length over this trip at Chelmsford earlier and is the pick on that run.
