Verdict

These are a sorry-looking bunch and only a tentative vote goes to HURRICANE HOLLOW, who got nowhere near the first two when third over this trip at Thirsk but was a decent hurdler a couple of years ago and is relatively unexposed on the Flat. Gold Merlion won a Thirsk maiden back in 2015 but has shown little since. Young Tom is still 4lb higher than winning at Leicester a year ago but was second on the Fibresand before disappointing at Yarmouth and has every chance if on a going day.
