A poor contest where Shadow Bay, Heaven Or Hell and Dougie Peel are three against the field and Shadow Bay gets the nod. Mick Channon's gelding has shown a fair level of form in context in four runs to date, and although he may be vulnerable to an improver, it is unlikely there is much else in this seller with scope. The ground at Salisbury looked a bit quick last time and this slower surface will suit, so he is given another chance. Heaven Or Hell has a good pitch on the stands side and also has to be forgiven an ordinary performance last time if you are to wager. His form prior to that race, in this grade, bears closer scrutiny and he is respected. Dougie Peel improved for the step up to this trip and for good ground at Ayr last time and is one worth keeping on the right side of, while Just Five came down early on last time but if that has not affected his confidence then he can also show up well. Not a race to get too involved with and we'll put up Shadow Bay.
