Star Of Zaam stepped up to this trip for the first time in a Leicester claimer on Saturday and ran a bit better. This is a drop in grade while BEAUDEN BARRETT has been racing over trips too short and would have an outstanding chance on his close second at Ayr last summer. The latter's yard is in fine form so he gets the nod as Winged Spur has only run on the all-weather and has finished last in her two recent starts at Lingfield. Calypso Delegator easily won a course and distance seller in August, his only victory to date, while Ghostly Arc, a winner at Newcastle in February, didn't run badly in a Musselburgh handicap last month.
