    Verdict

Oriental Splendour was a decisive scorer last time but his new rating makes life tougher, especially as he reserves his best performances for turning tracks such as Pontefract. He's not discounted but RED ALERT makes more appeal off his current mark and can make amends for his unfortunate disqualification at Salisbury last time. He'll face similar conditions here and can nearly always be relied upon to run his race. Dusty Blue hasn't been since scoring at Lingfield in April, since when the Medicean filly has joined Mick Easterby, but she's one to note in the market on debut for new connections. Spirit Of Zebedee has a first run on Turf this year and is respected but Lawless Louis rates the main danger with a visor now fitted - he's weighted to go well if returning to his best.
