      Verdict

We'll Deal Again has twice run well here but Saucy Girl, Waveband and TASMEEM set the standard and we'll take the last named to score. Barry Hills' charge showed signs of inexperience when failing to cope with heavy ground on his debut at Nottingham but he left that form behind when running on well to take second in an average Newbury maiden. He's well drawn and won't need to improve on that performance to take this contest. We'll Deal Again is considered but has looked as though an extra furlong would see him in a better light despite a disappointing run over seven on his second start and stronger claims are held by Waveband. She has run well on all four starts and is up to winning a race of this nature. Saucy Girl disappointed over course and distance last time but the good to soft ground may have been to blame and she may be worth another chance. North Central is one that appeals as possibly being capable of better whilst Layla's Prince is a newcomer to note but Tasmeem gets the vote.
