      Verdict

      Aylmer Road gets the vote ahead of Intricate Web and Secret Cavern, with Selika the other worth a second look in the market. The selection is a likeable colt who ran well at Brighton behind Reaching Out. He looks to be going the right way and this lightly-raced 3-year-old gets the percentage call. Intricate Web shaped as though he was running into form at Redcar last time when a good second behind Lucayan Dancer in a handicap. He has obvious claims today but he may be vulnerable to a less-exposed rival. Secret Cavern was returning from a break when a fair fourth behind Sharaby over 7f here last time. The step-up in trip should suit and he is another with sound claims. Selika was well-beaten at York last time but the blinkers are back on today and that may help to bring about some improvement. However, for the winner we return to Aylmer Road.
