        Verdict

        The veteran Osteopathic Remedy has won this race a remarkable four times before, with his latest success coming in 2013. David O'Meara sent out out last year's winner but Penitent does not look the force of old this season though has tumbled down the weights and is still preferred to stablemate Balducci. Instant Attraction was beaten only a head in this grade at Ayr last month and is preferred to recent Thirsk winner Our Boy Jack and Wilde Inspiration but QUICK DEFENCE (NAP) is given another chance in this. Below par at Newmarket last time, a repeat of his earlier three-length defeat to War Envoy in the Britannia at Ascot would see Sir Michael Stoute's colt go very close.
