Verdict

Blakey's Boy was a winner on this card last year but this may be best left to Rock N Roll Ransom and RULE MAKER with the latter taken to lay down the law under Frankie Dettori. The law may be an ass but Rule Maker certainly didn't look a donkey when winning his maiden at Windsor on his first run over this trip having tried ten and twelve furlongs on his first two outings. The second at Windsor is a decent yardstick and Rule Maker's initial mark is fair if he improves as expected now that connections have found his trip and tactics to suit. An eye should be kept on the weather as he is proven on fast ground whereas Rock N Roll Ransom's impressive debut win came on good to soft and Luca Cumani's charge may prove to be best suited by a little ease in the ground. Again, he looks no more than fairly treated but is in similarly good hands to improve, impressed his jockey last time and has to be feared. The opposition lack the same scope for improvement and could struggle although Blakey's Boy has been highly tried since winning his maiden and has come down a fair way in the weights this season so could prove dangerous but plenty has to be taken on trust with him whereas Rule Maker's claims are glaring.
