      Verdict

Trinculo has the form to land this opener at the expense of Blue Java and Obe Royal. The selection has run with credit on both his last two starts at Chepstow and Serena Brotherton has travelled a long way form her Yorkshire base to come and ride him. In the context of the race he would only have to reproduce his latest effort to go very close so for that reason he is a horse to stay on the right side of. Blue Java is another that ran well last time out. He finished fifth of fourteen at Windsor in what looked like a competitive handicap and the fact that his trainer is in such good form he is to be noted in the betting market. As does Obe Royal who is trained by David Evans who is on fire at present and he is ridden by Emma Folkes who is one of the top lady amateur riders around. But for the winner we return to Trinculo.
