In depth

Verdict

This was run on heavy going last year and ADMIRABLE ART (NAP) came out on top. Tony Carroll's charge is just 3lb higher and arrives in form having won a Chepstow seller so with conditions in his favour he's taken to complete the double. Telegraph carries a penalty for last week's shock victory at Brighton but he's another who will enjoy the ground and he looks capable of better. Night Trade, who finished fourth, didn't get the best of runs and with a weight pull should get much closer. Robin Hood was once running against the likes of Frankel and So You Think but has fallen a long way from grace though this is the lowest grade he's ever run in and is on his lowest-ever mark. Pink Lips has won over this trip on soft ground and has been racing over much further for most of the season. She's only 2lb higher than her last victory and Richard Hughes is a significant booking.
